Letty Mae's in Morris, IL is one of my favorite places to take someone for lunch.  For one thing it is adorable and they also serve the most delicious food!!

Everything on the menu is made from scratch.  My personal fav is Aunt Bird's Hawaiian Wrap and a cup of strawberry soup.....so YUMMY!!

Tables are all filled with vintage tea cups and saucers, sweet little aprons hanging from the ceiling and lots of nostalgic items decorate the walls.  You better make reservations because this place fills up quickly!
Todays dessert special, Lemon Cake with Raspberry Frosting!!!

You can also get lunch or desserts to go
My daughter Kayla was fortunate enough to get a job waitressing there, and she LOVES it!  Hope you girls enjoy the tip that we left!

Let's go treasure hunting!!

What a beautiful weekend for the Market in Morris.
Here are just a few photos of my booth from the past weekend......
Hand poured candles in vintage glass and custom charms

Fresh prints from our studio on pillow cases, one of our top selling shirts (the sheep with a crown!!), loads of wooden letters and cute chalk boards
I love all the different chalk boards and have such a hard time parting with them!!
Here are just a few of the one of a kind dolls that I have hand made over the years.  Each one is unique and made with new and vintage fabrics, lace, rhinestone buttons, etc
More hand poured candles in vintage glass.

The next show will take place on July 14th from 8am to 2pm.  Hope to see you there!!

LOVE truly is SWEET!

The shower weekend finally arrived and I was so excited to finally set it up and party!!  The whole day was just absolutely perfect that we could not have asked for more.
Guests were greeted with a yummy candy buffet that they could help themselves to.

"Take a seat Sweetie!".....our little cart held all the guests place cards.

Everyone got in on the fun with our vintage inspired photo booth.

Thank you, thank you!

I saw this cute idea the last time I went to Archivers. It's amazing what you can do with just paper!!
It looks like a cute, little box, but that's not all......
It's an explosion box! There are 3 layers of paper so that you can have little pockets and envelopes to add all sorts of secret messages.
Our school's speech coach is just an amazing teacher/coach/person, that I knew exactly who I was making this for when I saw it. The 13 kids that were on the regional team all wrote a special thank you in each section of the box.
I am now obsessed with tiny envelopes and decorative tags....LOVE!!!

It's so SWEET to be back!!

I'm back!!! It's been about 2 years since I had a blog....I can't believe how time flies! So many things were going on and I felt like I was being pulled in 11 different directions...being a mom, coaching cheer, helping run Three French Hens french market, running my business, etc. I was just never getting to my blog, but I missed it so much! Especially connecting with my other artistic, creative blogging friends!
So onto my re-birth of the blog world....here's what I'm up to at the moment.

Getting so excited about my girlfriend's bridal shower coming up in March. I'm working on the finishing touches, but I wanted to share some of the "sweet" ideas!
The bridesmaids decided on a theme "Love is Sweet"......so we HAVE to have a candy buffet, YUM!!
There are 140 guests invited and each one will get a chinese take out container to fill with lots of delicious goodies
When I heard there would be 12 tables to decorate, I had to put on my thinking cap! What could we do that would be elegant, whimsical, but not cost us a fortune?!! Hmmm, coffee filters and tea to the rescue!!! And then I saw this dress. It was the perfect combination of colors for the shower!
There will be a variety of gourmet sweets for guests to sample, so I made several pastry picks
The bride loves pink, vintage, silver, candles and photos......so I tried to incorporate as much of what she loves into the shower. I have been collecting glassware from every resale shop within a 20 mile radius. When the shop keepers see me coming, they know exactly what I'm looking for, LOL!
Since the bride cherishes photos, I couldn't pass up the idea of having a photo booth. Guests will have the opportunity to choose a hat, glasses and possibly a few other vintage items and pose with their friends for some memorable moments.

It's all in the details, right?! Cute straws to sip pink lemonade with.
So happy that Nicole asked me to be a part of her wedding. I hope she LOVES all her surprises!!
